10 + 8 × (Skill Lv - 1) + (Your DEX - Target DEX) / 2 %
DEX now also affects:
- Gank steal chance
- Triggered Steal effects
Unlike default rAthena behavior, Steal chance is additionally applied to the item's drop rate.
Effective steal chance:
Final Chance = Item Drop Rate × Steal Chance
Items with a final steal chance below 0.01% cannot be stolen.
Example:
An item with a 0.03% drop chance:
- At 10% Steal chance → 0.003% final chance → cannot be stolen
- At 34% Steal chance → 0.0102% final chance → can now be stolen
Because Ragnarok Plus uses rAthena-style sequential drop checks, items are evaluated from top to bottom in the monster drop table.
This means very high DEX is not always beneficial:
- Common items earlier in the drop table are much more likely to be stolen first
- Rare items lower in the table may never be reached
Example drop order:
- Jellopy → 55%
- Sticky Mucus → 15%
- Crystal Blue → 0.5%
If Jellopy succeeds its steal roll, the process stops immediately and lower items are never checked.
