Rules

From Ragnarok Plus Wiki

Ragnarok+ Player Rules

1. Accounts & Access,

  • One Master Account per player. Don’t make extras, don’t use temp emails, don’t share it.
  • Each Master Account can hold 3 Game Accounts.
  • No account selling.
  • Linked accounts (same IP, shared accounts, etc.) can all be punished together if one breaks rules.

2. Multi-Clienting

  • One active client per player. Always.
  • If it looks like you’re playing two chars at once, staff will treat it as multiclient.

Not allowed:

  • Buffing yourself with a 2nd account
  • AFK bard songs / dancer timers
  • Semi-AFK farming or leeching

3. Cheating & Exploits

  • No bots, macros, or automation. You must be able to answer staff if asked.
  • Use the official client only.
  • Allowed tweaks: music swaps, staff-provided GRFs, UI skins, custom AI (if not automated).
  • No third-party software that interacts with gameplay (recording tools are fine).
  • Exploits & bugs must be reported, not abused.
  • Fun tricks like Icewall plays, animation canceling, and teleport dodging are fine.
Cheating = permanent ban. No warnings.

4. Market & Trading

  • Shop placement – Don’t block main paths or NPCs.
  • Don’t sell NPC items for crazy prices.
  • Don’t mislabel gear (slotted vs unslotted).
  • Scamming – lying or faking deals to cheat someone = punishable.
  • Trust trades (“I’ll pay you back later”) are at your own risk.
  • Staff may step in on scams only if you have clear proof (screenshots/chat logs/IGNs).
  • Spot reservation – fake shops with junk items at insane prices = not allowed.
  • RMT – No selling accounts, zeny, items, or services for real money, crypto, favors, or outside currency. Advertising it = permaban.

5. Communication & Conduct

  • Be civil. No harassment, spamming, or provoking.
  • Keep public chat in English.
  • Off-limits content: sexual, racist, sexist, homophobic, violent, suicide/drug encouragement, etc.
  • If someone bothers you, use /ex or /exall. If they bypass it, screenshot and report.
  • Impersonating staff = instant permaban.
  • Names must follow the same chat rules. No impersonation or trolling other players by name. First come, first served.
  • Harassment & slander – repeated targeting, spreading lies, or pushing others to bully someone will be punished hard.

6. Gameplay Rules

  • Griefing – skills are for mobs, not to harass. Example: Ice Walling players, buffing mobs to get others killed.
  • Mobbing – pulling mobs is fine, but don’t hoard them without killing or drop them on others. Dead Branch trolling is also grief.
  • Kill stealing – don’t attack mobs already on someone. If aggro drops, it’s free. Using Steal or chip damage to block others = not allowed.
  • Loot stealing – loot belongs to the killer during the timer. Don’t camp, block, or force-loot.

MVPs:

  • Anyone can attack MVPs at any time. Loot priority = damage.
  • Still PvM, so no griefing. Don’t block tombs, wall off MVPs, or use skills to stop others from reaching it.

Allowed: taking aggro, kiting, or even stalling if your team is on map/on the way and can actually kill it.

Not allowed: sabotaging other teams by making MVPs wipe them.

7. Reporting & Evidence

  • Proof needed: replays, screenshots with date/time, or logs.
  • Reports must be timely – old disputes might not be reviewed.
  • Report evidence stays private. You don’t get to see someone else’s file.
  • Faking reports or editing evidence = punishment.
  • Don’t “bait” people into breaking rules just to report them.

8. Rule Zero

These rules can’t cover every single case. The point is simple:
  • Don’t cheat.
  • Don’t grief.
  • Don’t scam.
  • Don’t be toxic.

9. Hardcore & Softcore Rules

  • Hardcore and softcore players cannot interact with each other.
  • Any attempt to use softcore characters to boost hardcore players is not allowed.
  • If a hardcore player can provide valid evidence (such as a video) that a softcore player caused their death, the softcore player will face sanctions.
  • If a hardcore player dies due to lag and can provide a recording as proof, staff will revive them.

Violations will result in sanctions, including potential suspensions or bans.

If you’re trying to bend the rules, you’re already breaking them.

Staff can act on anything that goes against fair play, even if it’s not written word-for-word. When in doubt, ask first.
