Blacksmith Job Change Quest
Become a Blacksmith by completing a series of tasks assigned by the Blacksmith Guild in Geffen.
Requirements
- Class: Merchant (any Merchant branch)
- Job Level: 40 or higher
- All skill points must be spent before changing jobs
Job Change Ticket (Shortcut)
If you have a Blacksmith Job Change Ticket (available at the Merchant Guild Reputation Shop), you can skip the entire quest, but won't get any rewards.
Simply talk to Altiregen in the Geffen Blacksmith Guild (geffen_in 110, 169) with the ticket in your inventory, Job Level ≥ 40, and no unspent skill points. He will change your job immediately.
Full Quest Walkthrough
Step 1 – Apply at the Geffen Blacksmith Guild
Talk to Altiregen inside the Blacksmith Guild building in Geffen (geffen_in 110, 169). Select "Fill out Application" and he will direct you to Geschupenschte in Alberta.
Step 2 – Quiz with Geschupenschte (Alberta)
Find Geschupenschte inside the Alberta building (alberta_in 174, 22).
He will give you a 10-question quiz. You must answer all 10 correctly to pass on the first attempt. On the second attempt, you are allowed to miss one.
The quiz is randomized between two sets. Correct answers are listed below.

Step 3 – Collect Items for Geschupenschte
After passing the quiz, Geschupenschte will assign you one of five random item collection tasks. Bring him the listed items — the weapon must be one purchased from an NPC shop, not player-crafted or looted.

Hand the items to Geschupenschte. He will craft a special weapon and ask you to deliver it.
Step 4 – Deliver the Weapon and Return the Receipt
Geschupenschte will give you a crafted weapon. Bring it to the delivery target for your assigned task (see table above).
When prompted, confirm the item is new. The recipient will give you a Merchant Voucher (receipt). Return this receipt to Geschupenschte.
He will then send you back to Altiregen in Geffen.
Step 5 – Return to Altiregen (Geffen)
Talk to Altiregen (geffen_in 110, 169) again. He will direct you to a Blacksmith Guildsman in Morocc for a second quiz.
Step 6 – Second Quiz with Mitehmaeeuh (Morocc)
Find Mitehmaeeuh in Morocc (95, 133).
He will ask 5 questions. You need to score more than 70 points (at least 4 out of 5 correct; each correct answer is worth 20 points).
The quiz is randomized between three sets.

Upon passing, Mitehmaeeuh gives you a Hammer of Blacksmith.
Step 7 – Job Change
Return to Altiregen in Geffen (geffen_in 110, 169) with the Hammer of Blacksmith in your inventory. He will change your job to Blacksmith.
Job Level 50 Bonus
If your Job Level is 49 or higher when Altiregen completes the job change, you will receive 30× Steel as a reward instead of the standard 5× Steel.
Make sure to reach Job Level 50 before turning in the quest for maximum reward.
